JSU’s 47th Annual Juried Student Show!
The annual Juried Student Show is a competition and exhibition that JSU art students working at all levels and in all media are encouraged to participate. Like most professional art and design competitions, the JSU student show is juried. Participants must submit work and the juror, an art and design professional, decides which pieces will be included in the show. Having work selected by the juror to be included in the show is a significant achievement that students may add to their resume. The exhibition offers cash & gift card awards.
Eligibility: Any JSU student currently enrolled this academic year (2019-2020) in a Jacksonville State University art course may enter.
Conditions of Exhibition and Presentation: All entries must have been completed in a Jacksonville State University Art Department class or on the student’s own time within the last year (2019-2020). All two- dimensional pieces must be properly framed, matted, or mounted and ready to hang at the time of deliver. Two- dimensional entries that are not ready to hang at the time of delivery will not be accepted into the exhibit.
Juror: Mario Gallardo: Executive director of The Walnut Gallery in Gadsden, AL.
Awards: There will be 3 awards: Best in show, honorable mention, and a dean’s award.
