Hello! I'm an illustrator living in Alabama with my three sons, husband, dog, & leopard gecko.
Growing up in the Colorado Rockies, and hanging out in my Grandma's kitchen & garden, inspired my love for nature and food. I love working with watercolor, cut paper, and gouache, in bright gestural shapes and blind contour strokes. I studied fine art at Augusta State University in Georgia (where I was also captain of the volleyball team), and earned a Master's in Design at Edinburgh College of Art, in Scotland. I am one of the only people I know without a middle name, and chocolate is my spirit animal.
I've created illustrations for Bon Appétit, Spirituality & Health, Countryman Press, Edible San Diego, The 'Sip and other clients. My work has been featured multiple times in PRINT and Creative Quarterly magazines, has won numerous ADDY awards, and has been exhibited in dozens of national juried exhibitions. I'm also a Professor of Visual Communication at JSU.
